I left the shore in my boat of songs
With its sails unfurled
I sailed to the sea
It is not where the cuckoo sings
Under the shades of a tree
Nor the place where the village girl comes
To fill her pitcher
It is where the blue water
Swells and plays a deadly game.
Now my veena, we are alone
Here not a single soul can be seen
It is not the flower we pluck from the bower
Nor from the window
It hangs from a creeper
I took my boat of songs
Towards the boundless sky
That is full of aimless melody of flowers.
