In the aftermath of the Paris shooting,
the public perception is of the gunmen
as perpetrators of the deed, the latter
being caught up in the act of providence
the deed manifests, and this the home truth.
In the mind of the Parisian public,
the spectre of the gunmen becomes one
imminent threat, bent ceaseless on yet further
attacks; but in the light of providence,
what happened sufficed in the act itself.
In that public mind, evil is the gunmen,
eliminating which in counter plans
of violent action the principle
of humanity is vindicated,
providence in the swift avail of air-strikes.
In every circumstance, providence acts,
the evil that befalls us is the measure
of its sway, we react in righteousness,
as though set a task, whereby our own evil
is redeemed in the struggle against evil.
