Life Goes On

Woken up to fresh dawn
One more day reborn
Crossing the finger what is on
No water in the bath nor kitchen
Milk and bread yet to come
Leftover in fridge gruesome
Flickering light worrying sign
Power factor never benign
Gas cylinder nearing empty
Everything is Humpty Dumpty
Managed to make a band
Anything available on hand
Made an exit for the road
Traffic snarl all around
Struggle to reach the place of work
Solaced to find others too berserk
Shine or rain off and on
Life like this goes on.
