We have two worlds in our estimate of
the one; the immediately sense-perceived
that merges into the far greater world
of unperceived reality – the which
we, by some strange consensus in our own
mind, assume as universal, where all
appears, and so it continues to be
every moment of our lives, where all that’s
here seen is by representation all
there is; and we can talk of everything
in both worlds, seen here, unseen, and call it
the universe! – evidence in the concept
all-embracing; and in this mould of thought
how much more in evidence is God: here,
and extending to the limitless, not
from limit as the universe is known.
