Existence dwarfed by skyscrapers
eyes pierced by diamonds bouncing off concrete
Looked to wilderness to escape striding along a dirt road
I passed by gigantic steel monsters
Breathed a sigh of relief
when I saw none of what was left behind
that was no more
As I glanced beside me
saw a wildflower breathing a sigh of relief
that had strayed into the city
just to run back
to wilderness
We walked together
talked together
smiled together
Then
the wildflower
settled on a barren patch
I settled beside it
