Religion, your face sports a mask,
Do not hurt even an insect, you ask,
Yet you have no hesitation,
Without impunity you kill your fellow human.
She mouths words of undying love,
To give her your everything, you try,
Yet, within the blink of the eye,
There she's making love to another guy.
My son should have a life, my father said,
He ended up giving me pain instead,
For all his lofty statements of show,
Money was his intention though.
My friend, I thought he was the truth,
With a false smile, my feelings he did soothe,
What did I know were his intention,
Pulled me down, into a deep dungeon.
Fate has been cruel to me, for
Such were some hypocrites,
- who crossed my path.
