Slumber seems to have slipped
Away, far away from eyes
Of the staring night,
Lying hapless and restless
In the earth-bed, Disturbed by the glittering
Of pangs veiled as mocking stars.
The Knight of the day looks tired
Dusky, lost midway
In the nightfall courtyard
Of the diurnal course
Yet he lingers in darkness
In search of her flickers
To shine brighter with his dawn...
