Time puts its indelible stamps
On each of the phases
Of life in the world
As days, weeks and months,
Years and decades etcetera.
Time keeps testing,
Retesting our survival instincts,
Attesting the longevity
As a proof of our existence.
Time ravishes as a marauder
Yet teaches to stand.
Emboldened, time and again
We stand to our feet
To deal with hard blows
And we never bow
Down to the circumstances.
It is not we that pass through
The prism of eternal time,
It is rather the time
And time alone that goes on
Flowing through us
Since time immemorial
Expanding its lifeline around
The cycle of births and deaths.
