I take my own sweet time,
As per the timely ticking clock.
I make my own preparation,
And gather my own little stock.
Still there is urgency and crisis,
Sudden surprise and shock.
For time has its own velocity,
Beyond any manmade clock.
I may come up with a solution,
But any panacea is hard to get.
From time to time against inertia,
My own clock I need to reset.
For experience leads to inaction,
When vanity makes me a fool,
Yet in a fool’s paradise of mine,
I may remain calm and cool.
