Theme: Plight

Migrant's Plight

Winter chill is still in the air
Blowing at will everywhere
leaving the countless in strife
with a hope in search of a life
to strive to seek and find
a place under the sun to stand
to give their best to serve
and earn respect they deserve
driven out from the place of birth
prevented by forces with the might
helpless and looking at the sky
wondering can’t they be birds to fly
Rays of the sun straight from the sky!
How long they'll be left in the lurch!
How long tears will dry and parch!
For whom the world sings the carols!
Are Ebenezer stooges still on a roll!
Maybe some good Samaritan will rise
One fine day to lead the world and erase
And bring cheers to one and all with Grace!

Comment Migrants' plight is forgotten in the "political jungle with artificial borders".May some good Samaritans rise and help them.
