It's time to Do away with This dated Practice of Gun-salute.
It hurts the birds Don't scare them With such loud sounds. It's time we heard them Why blast their peace And smother them with Fear - why make them Mute with our twenty-one Gun salute?
For the sake of nature, Let us do away with this Pompous practice of gun Salute. There'll be less of noise Pollution, and peace will Prevail if we do some silent Contemplation, observation, And introspection on the day Of commemoration.....
