I once went to see a circus
It was the Boswell Wilkie
In rags and rumpus
Shouting and screaming
Prancing and singing
The clowns would not
Let us stop our giggles
And their dancing
One of them came to hold
My hand
And blew out bubbles
At the touch of a wand
The other stood and walked on his head
I was so worried that he might fall dead
Another blew a kiss at me
Crying that I was the princess
And sending smoke rings towards me
I laughed and laughed
My tummy grew sore
Boswell Wilkie was such a great fun
Wish I had seen more.
The Boswell Wilkie Circus is the most popular circus in Southern Africa.
