It is their freedom of speech
When they clamour and abuse
When we retaliate and return
It’s parochialism and retribution
They attack and raise slogans
For they are peaceful civilians
When we get even in self-defence
It’s intolerance and provocation
When we repose our faith in religion
It makes us communal and partisan
But their assembly for it in the open
Is freedom enshrined in constitution
When we repose our faith in nation
It’s hyper-nationalism baneful for nation
They don’t endorse national symbols
Because their religion is above nation
When they seize roads and public places
It’s peaceful way and freedom of expression
When we ask them to mind public ease
It is persecution and attack on constitution.
