What they see as
Calm, impassive -
Beneath so much that I hold
Like an ocean.
From a distance
Tranquil, serene, unperturbed
Yet so deep.
Only when I come close to you,
My shore, my harbor,
I find waves surging out,
Finding words
For my joy, my laughter,
My hopes, my expectations,
My sadness, my despair -
They all suddenly speak, murmur,
Scream, whisper before you.
And for you…
Do they ever matter?
Soaked in it do you ever feel
The red, yellow, blue
Emotions etched on your sands
Lie….await…..get wet in tears.
Or are they just blown away
In summer winds
To nowhere?
