Theme: Feelings

Dormant

Whenever I come across
One’s pleasure or pain,
Deep inside my heart
I feel a ripple
And then many more.
They become waves,
Rising and swelling,
Lashing on the walls,
Rushing through my veins
All over my body, my skin
I feel choked,
Tears overflow in streams,
Run down, flooding my face.
I feel as if my entire body
Has become a heart.

And so much of pain
Which I carry within
Remains silent, dried, settled.
Wonder, how I learned
To live with it
Unmoved!
Untouched!
Unstirred!
