If you close your eyes for a moment
Imagine what you see
A hidden world, just out of sight
Away from life's misery.
You can walk in fields of ripened corn
And taste the sweetened cob
Forget your fears from the other life
Lack of money, hope or job.
As you hike through happy forests
And hear the singing apple trees
You can join in games with the animals
Which will never seek to flee.
You can dance around some toadstools
To the sweet tones of panpipes
Eat oatmeal breakfast with the fauns
Savour apples full and ripe.
You can take a trip down river
On a gilded fairy boat
Gaze in joy and wonder
At fairy herders with their goats.
You can be whatever you want to be
And do the things you love.
Because
If you close your eyes for a moment;
You're at one with God above. |
