Democracy

Integrity and Deceit
though rivals indeed
are disguised cleverly
as obverse and reverse
of the democratic coin
flipping which,
an individual mandate
of social duties and rights
desires and foresight
seemingly a birthright,

gets overridden
and merged into a choice
elected collectively
to determine and decide
how societies move,
peaceful in unity
or divided into pieces,
until the time of
the next elections

Comment Sir, your writings are great, I am getting so much peace of mind and pure luck that I found the simple explanations from the Treasure of Sikh Literature, Just too good to be true that you have written so much and so diversly that I should stop buying Kindle E-Books anymore—regards for doing what you did all those years.

Comment Democracy works best when the electorate and the elected , politicians , police and press behave with a sense of responsibility and they do their best to uphold the values that sustain the integrity of the institutions of governance. If they all work as a nexus for self-aggrandisement , all enjoy in the polluted flow priding themselves as the best enlightened of mankind.

Comment Everything is left to totters until he gets elected by hook or crook and the day he gets from that he starts thinking of himself the boss of all even forgetful of what he had been in the past, distorting nomenclature as per his wishes in order to suit his propaganda and tirades.

Comment If citizens have no way to throw away dupes, scoundrels and money bags democracy cannot work. God saves us: Amma bless us.
