Expanding and shrinking
always accompanying
is one’s own shadow,
the dogged companion

A natural aide-memoire,
reminds about the brilliance
of the Sun within,
as one’s own conscience.

The joie de vivre,
stimulating and prodding,
whispers right counsel
on every step one takes

Listening, the dutiful heeds
and principles become alive
Ignorant muzzles the whisper
thus leads a fraudulent life

One wonders if there is a need
for anyone else to guide?
