Ecstasy dwells in fleeting moments
When sunshine engulfs the soul
Leaving no trace of care
But breeds happiness
But they will pass and the light will fade
Tears obstruct the vision
Air stale with fumes of sorrow
Suffocates a heart that’s heavily laden
A complete hollow and total darkness
While you drown in your emptiness
Taking refuge in your own shadow
You cannot see the light no more
You cannot taste the happiness
But you must hope
For the tide will turn
The light that will encircle your cowardice
Though still as darker grows the gloom
Will emit a brighter ray.
