Theme: Experience

Schooling

Life taught me, incredibly young,
through accidents and design,
how to walk in sync with her

Making me accept situations,
eventually forcing my assent to
her surprisingly changing routes

Simply tough tutoring
in the School of Challenges
began lessons with gratitude

Followed by aptitude, fortitude,
encouraging to aim for altitude
smiling with a caring attitude

The syllabus covered:
Acceptance of ephemeral,
inexorable and the irreversible

Knowing change as
the eternal law of nature
To act in harmony with existence

Seeking to be courageously ethical
Being not ashamed to question
Crossing all hurdles to gain insight

Having a sincere purpose in pursuits
Being morally gratified with actions
Having the humility to respect my mentors

~*~

This walk with her has been
exciting, fulfilling and blissful
And now in my twilight,

She gracefully prepares me
to be ready for a new latitude
in the singularity of her solitude

Comment Dynamism marks life.A spring, hill stream, pond, river, sea---all represent 'water' one of the elements much needed for sustenance of life. Ripples, waves, breakers ...all represent dynamism in varying degrees, and moments.Poetry, a creative process, too is unpredictable like Nature.
The best thing is to savour every thing as it obtains.

Rajender Kishenji, keep posting as and when you deem it proper. After hiatus, I am also motivated to attempt creative writing.Translation.It happens, quite often. When time permits or mood pushes a poem too may evolve slowly.

Comment One wonders why you had not spread out these poems in the manner of a regular post over the years past of minimal appearances, rather than crammed together in one ego trip - or what comes over as. You have a a proclaimed intention of self-promotion that is the standard of the world reducing to hypocrisy all the high ideals expressed in your poems.

A poem is not so much what is said
But the unsaid expressed in what is said.
