Beyond Limits

It is said that God created Man in his own image.
Fine, it is also said that this Janma as human being is
reward for merit earned in earlier births.
Pandemic proved how puny is man.
Despite all the deaths, misery, starvation around
how long one clings to birth, faith and religion?
Nothing protects one when the call comes
no prop stops the onward march.
Having seen ugliest side of human acts
subsequent suffering of entire universe,
why not one look around within too,
shedding tags, bags, drags
to lead a peaceful, purposeful life?
Cooking linguistic, regional affinities
in cauldron of caste for self-promotion,
vilification of all ‘others’
