hatred polarises, fear asphyxiates,
there is turbulence under the heavens
the world is fractured...
let us question ourselves - why
the racism, conflict-ridden notions
mental walls that barricade love
and kindness, hope and faith
let us repair ourselves first
let us not despair; minds reposed,
reflective, purposeful, compassionate...
then begin to heal our fractured world
fix its lesions with the salve of tenderness
link hands in true togetherness
lift up hearts, embrace diversity
create a sanctuary of peace and harmony |
