Theme: Worship

Earthly Worship

When I meet you my Lord
My emotions I can never show
The richest feeling
I have for you
Shall always remain untold
I believe in the Lord
And I know He will bide
His time, before I can
Claim him to be mine.
The time will come
Don’t know when and where
When the Lord shall proclaim-
That this earthly being
Has won Him – and now
“She is forever mine”.
Such bliss I hope for
Don’t know when
But I am certain,
That one fine day
The stars shall shine
With the divine worship
Of this earthly woman.

Comment The poet has been a spiritual entity. She is made up of flesh and blood. The lust mars her feelings as well. But her desire to worship God has been self-effacing. She mentions in her prayer as to when and where but she did ever question how?
She has been His shadow incognito. But with all the thoroughness of her feelings she deifies the chosen god for surrender. The time is not yet ripe for the appropriate to accept her. The poet has a staunch belief that her coveted deity would oneday take her on His lap for the full consummation of worshipping.
The mundane woman poet would be the blest entity of spiritualism in course of time.
Her devotion has been complete for fulfilment.
