Theme: Memories

Memories

Fond memories of a day visited me
And it pickpocketed my emotions
tucked in some corner of my heart.
Vanilla sky kissed moments
Of a long walk down a busy street
Stealing glances over awkward silence
The gentle misty breeze blew away swirls of my hair
and perhaps a piece of his heart.
A stranger singing at the top of his lungs
Stood witness to the moment
As we conversed in silence
Undisturbed and unperturbed
Someone was playing the same song today
I overheard on my evening walk.
A familiar fragrance wafted through the air
Smells like nostalgia
I smiled
In this time and distance
Maybe I will meet him in my dreams or
at the world's end.
Life continues.

Comment Life continues indeed with the memories collected in loneliness as a nostalgia by basking in Nature as you have well said here!
