Friendly encounter in Paris Is still vivid after thirty years- And reminds the gourmet dinner With meat, croissant, and cheers! Toast with the host was warm, And strung a chord on my nerve- Followed by the beauty of waitress, Who was delighted to serve!
We talked about society and diversity That float always around us- Regardless of our language barrier, We did not fuss! Renewal of friendship went well With our learning of language- And we were so overwhelmed To forget our own age!
Just before departure for U.S., My friend asked me with a chuckle- Can you spell 'Croissant' While you tighten the belt buckle? With a green on my face, I handed him the key- To drive me to the airport, And I told: It's French to me!
