If I demand your crown, kill me
when a look at your throne disturbs you
mercilessly chop my limbs.
Monarch of all that you survey
if your power is challenged
ruthlessly wield your sword
none dare utter a word.
Demanding justice for all
take out processions proudly
denouncing autocracy, declare a war
warning all to conform to norms
drive away folks who speak rustic lingo.
Not all are ‘Silver-tongued Orators'!
I know ‘silence is golden’
how to tell your glare glues my tongue
awaiting whiplashes I shudder to speak
scrutiny every moment made life miserable
while in service, later too....
life under stress beyond your ken
fear to speak makes one tongue-tied
victim victimised further, most unfortunate.
Silence, court is in session!
