It's Only For You

Some of the best ever daffodils –
The sweet and fragrant Nargis
Remained my prized possession
Affectionately meant only for you.

Some of the best ever dreams
Of my sublime reverie and musings
I merrily envisioned and pursued
Dreaming only for you.

Some of the saddest moments
That I ever experienced in life
With my sorrowful and moist eyes
Yearning only for you.

Some of the magnificent fortunes
That I ever accomplished in life
Toasting moral or material success
Longing only for you.

I may still not be the best
But I have always strived
To make myself better in every
moment, aspiring
One last rendezvous with you. 

(In India, Daffodils are called Nargis which carry sweet and refreshing fragrance often symbolized with rebirth or new beginning.)
