Beyond the Kalapana Red Road, Past the Kumaka'ula Heiau And the Royal Gardens: Hidden in a thicket of guava, Peacefully and serenely lay That most royal of liquids- Queen's Bath. There in days of old The Alii nui and her entourage Would sojourn for a royal dip In her cleansing magic waters. The pond was pristine; her waters pure. Nestled within that thicket of greenery, Hawaiian nobility languished In Nature's splendor, Peacefully enjoying the tranquility and Absorbing the Mana of Queen's Bath. I dove into her sacred waters And let each stroke of my arms Propel me backwards in time. When I reached the other side of the pond And came up for air, My heart was transformed From Haole into Hawaiian.
