I have a lot around me
Yet I am lonely
I have met many persons
Still I am desolate
I read many books
But I am desperate
I do paint and draw
Then also I am remote
Music provides solace
But never removes solitude
I watch movies alone
I love many around me
Even then I feel solitary
Because they belong to others
The fear of isolation
Rears its head now and then
Search within yourself to find
The reason for it
You will know you aren’t normal
It is easy to be normal
Daunting to be different
In your acts, deeds, thoughts and love
It is normal to be safe
Else you have to stand alone
Amidst the sea of people
I hear an invisible voice say: Accept your loneliness
You are your only friend.
