Theme: Self

Self-Appraisal

Almost desireless
With no cravings left
I seldom count
My remaining years of life
Whether it’s less or more.

During my journey
I realized it very early
Whatever best I plan
Whichever way I proceed
Destiny always had
Its own ready blueprint
Also one step ahead
Sometimes for good
And sometimes for bad…
So I stopped brooding
And contemplating on future!

I have never been greedy
About my bowl of cherries
Believed in letting go
Rather than saving the best
For own convenience
And consumption in life.

Close to an equipoised mind…
Of the famous five*
That dictate and spoil too
I am now more or less free
Except for a bit of attachment
Still left for a chosen few.

So now in twilight zone
With no cravings left
For any more cherries
My soul is neither in a hurry
Nor it nurtures anymore
Hate or anger for anyone
My mind and soul are
In harmony and peace with self.
