the wind, without bias puffs away night’s dreams, awakening all to the embrace of the sun’s warm rays amid quacks, honks and squawks the park begins to buzz with humans running, jogging, strolling hand in hand a fountain erupts, full of mirth and magic not a care in the world; your loss if you miss its tinkling, sparkling silver swans, ducks, pelicans preen nonchalantly smitten by their calm indifference, visitors’ cameras freeze their callisthenic poses I sit contemplating the book of nature my inner serenity undisturbed, rather enhanced with the morning unfolding like a Japanese handheld fan; the scene shifting yet sacrosanct in its allure I feel euphoric, fulfilled, bewitched
