Theme: Absence

Tomorrow When I'm Not Here

Tomorrow when I'm not here in flesh

Like all others before me who've tread,
The sun will be as mellow, the stars still ablaze.
You'll have your share of meal and sleep at the end of day.

In quietness of slumber, when you turn, you won't feel me.
In a fit of pain, your heart will wriggle...
Remind of fond caresses on this same bed,
But reminding yourself of next day's chores, you'll turn and sleep.

The grocer in the arcade might notice in a month, and the fishmonger there say-
"Where's ma'am? So fond of salmon
Haven't seen her after New year!"

My friends will clink their glasses.
Miss my laughter
Miss my care
All the secrets will be buried with me
They too will find new pals to share thereafter.

My children, my heart, for whom I prayed
And lived every breath.
Didn't let their hats drop to the ground
With my saree wiped their tears.
They're so busy, so busy are they!
No moment to glance at my picture hanging at the corridor
Clicked when I had fun with balloons and enjoyed with them cartoons.

The nature won't change her course,
I'll still be there...
In atoms, in air, in dust and water...
See all and can touch none
No flesh on me to show how tender I feel
All my love here...
But none can I
None can I say
remember...

I wish to live in your memory....a little more here!
