A Daily Train Passenger

A daily train passenger I,

The train is my house,

The platforms my markets

And the people the books

Of my library,

For a study of men and manners,

Sitting by the window I peep outside

Seeing landscapes and woodlands,

Fields and fallows, herds of cattle,

Halts are my sojourns.
