We met at Bean Station Elementary School in 1979. After we met, you quickly became a friend of mine. You died four years ago today and it's a damn shame. It is with great sadness when I say that you only have yourself to blame. You started out smoking pot and then you moved up to Meth. All you cared about was partying and you took your final breath. I asked you to get some help but you refused every time. Meth is a deadly drug and that is why using it is a crime. When you perished at the age of forty-eight, it was sad, tragic and unfair. If you had worked as hard as you partied, you would've been a millionaire. You loved to get high and you finally had to pay. You did Meth and you died four years ago today.
[Dedicated to John Wayne Brown (1970-2019) who died four years ago today on June 3, 2019]
