Vijayadashami

Navaratri is coming to a close

And it is Vijayadashami,

The time for going home, 

Bhagabati will go away

And the festivity to close

With fireworks to be done,

The ten-headed effigy

Of the demon king Ravana

Laughing with a thunderous applause

To be burnt to finish it all -

The lingering festivity.
