Destructive arrows of hate
fly from a heart that’s choosing darkness
burns like an uncontrolled fire
spreading death and destruction
consuming all in its path.

Hatred poisons spirits, ruins relationships
Flares into wars, devastation, death
Often camouflaged as patriotism.
It annihilates all in its pathway…
Democracy, tolerance, humanity,
Freedom; eats away the soul of the hater
Leaching out peace and kindness.
Do we need to keep feeding this tyrant?
