Honeyed lemon tea and soaked dry fruits,
Entice my taste buds in the morning light,
Replacing the tea and biscuits, a healthier delight.
A rainbow on a plate with
Curds, apple, orange and banana tempt my palate,
For breakfast, supplanting the greasy beasts
With healthy yeasts.
Taste and reaction of stomach, obvious.
Pulse, a curry, salads and a chapatti
Invite me for lunch, ending with some grapes.
No puri’s bloat, no mutton’s heavy coat.
Light dinner at eight, with porridge’s embrace,
Mixed with milk and honey’s grace
Allure me, rejecting the chicken and eggs
One change of habit, weaves a web,
Unfurling health, no longer slave to cravings,
Body sings and dances to rosy strength. |
