Standing alone in the rain The downpour splashing like Small pebbles; scattering Channels of water sneaking down Like the crawling of worms An intermittent breeze making A casual visit as if to ensure that Everything is in order and The rain ceasing suddenly as if By an unknown command
Everything around standing Soaked, drenched, shivering And silent: everything around Seems to have slipped into a Meditation; an occasional Sway of a branch sending down Cascades of water as if dropping Down a basketful of pearls
Standing aloof in the rain Like a statue in meditation Water dripping down mixing With the tears that flow down The fire burning inside could be Neither diminished nor extinguished And dampness spreading all around
