Pretty girl, good
In sports, good in
Studies, even with
Her specs, she looked
Smart, suave and savvy.

After her Bachelor's
She went to Boston
For further studies,
And then after her
Marriage, she finally
Settled in Los Angeles.

Now I see her
After decades
I find it hard to
Recognise her.

Her specs have
Gone, so have
Her long tresses.
Her thick, dark and
Plaited hair is not
There. Instead,
She has cut it short
And dyed it blonde.

With her western
Attire and blonde
Hair, she now looks
More an American
Than an Indian.
