On Janmashtami

I saw the mythical Krishna

With the mythical Yashoda,

An imagery draped in celestial colours

So idyllic, classical and devotional

The mythical lore of Krishna

Heard through hearsays,

Folks whispering in the country

And the banks of Yamuna swirling with

That mesmerizing gossip, divine spectacle.
