Cuckoos' Language

One cuckoo flew and perched itself on the curry leaf tree

Beckoned another and it sat on the tree facing its mate

Both greeted each other in their language

One flew away. The other soon followed

Probably to another tree not far away

Away from my prying eyes for sure

Wishing to exchange notes in privacy.

Enjoyed the early morning sight from my balcony

If I had only understood their language

I could have enjoyed even more

That would have made me an intruder though
