About the different facets

Of you - how they contrast

And complement each other

Like light and shade

In a work of art

I hope they do.

The courage to say this?

I have it, yes, 

But I won’t put it to waste -

It’s not a minor “ick”

That TikTok left to stick

On the inside of my brain, 

Like a permanent stain.

It’s the simple desire

For reciprocity

The foundation of much 

Of humanity 

When I see 

My unmatched curiosity 

Being returned

With cold placidity 

When I bring up 

Treasured parts of my soul

Expecting a reaction

To see none at all

It’s clear that an “us” 

Could never be 

For you show no 

Real interest in me

You are loveable

Did someone
