Travelers

While walking 

On life's highway, 

I started talking 

With travelers one day.

Some moments we shared; 

For each other we cared,

But it has been many days 

Since we parted our ways.

I thank one and all 

For what they taught me—

No lesson was small,

Now I see. 

I wish them the best, 

Wherever they are; 

In my heart they rest—

We aren't far.
