Sailors We Are!

We are all sailors

Aren’t we?

Maneuvering our ships

From shore to shore

The sea of life

And the sands of time 

Remain

And we…

Move ahead

Each a story

Of loss and gain

Of tears

Of joy and sorrow

Yet we move between

Sunrises and sunsets

To feel and think

Striving to be strong

And…

Hope’s the bird

That visits us often

Its song we sing

When we sail

Across the sea of life

With fragility and fortitude 

We are all sailors
