At times I used to sit and wonder, Upon these thoughts for hours I'd ponder 'Where was I heading to? With my life what was I going to do?'.
A zillion thoughts sizzled in my mind, Within they turned, churned, mixed and would further grind Each conflicting with the other, Only further they'd multiply my bother.
As a kid I'd play with Barbie dolls, Life was fun, scribbling on walls I could do whatever I wanted, Nobody ever a finger at me pointed.
Years rolled by, I became a teen, Still plump, the happiest I could've ever been Now hooked onto phone calls for hours, I'd shop in malls and roam in fancy cars.
Then came an age of understanding and maturity, In my eyes, shone the light of sensibility and responsibility Tough decision-making filled my life, To be the best, I'd day and night strive.
After this marriage brought in new vows, It wasn't easy, being as pretty as a rose New friends' came in, but so did nasty foes, With kids, cooking and work, no time to breathe in peace, had my poor little nose.
Years flew by, I was turning old, With wrinkled skin, and a stick to hold Now arrived the time for reflection, Upon my memory book, as precious as gold.
Flashbacks of memory these keepsakes are mine, Veiled windows of my life, they continue to sparkle and shine!
