I booked a seat in the reminiscent train eagerly It arrived at the platform tardily. Boarded the train amidst the chaos Jostling past the tender lips spread with cocoas. Placed my baggage of memories on the rack Unfolding, as the train moves slowly on the track. Dearest hand drifted away Waving steadily with a sway. Settled down on the seat, For a reminiscent treat. The train rattles past with the whistle blowing high, As the newborn enters this world with the sound of cry.
The smoke rises high in the sky, As the tiny tot rises above the ground For the first time, with a sigh. Air filled with the rhythm, The adrenalin levels shot, As celebrations marks the first steps of the tiny tot. The train comes to a grinding halt At a signal, and proceeds its journey, As the kid takes a vault, From resplendent moods, to the place of learning To fulfill his dear ones yearning.
Rustling past Betul, Amla, Vidisha, Hoshiangabad Failed to have the glimpse of faces clad, In the hopes of reaching their land of dream, As the jaunty youth goes berserk on a layer of cream. Missed the view, as I lay in dreams, of the glitter at Gwalior, The land of the 'Rani of Jhansi', the brave warrior, And the magnificent Taj, the symbol of love, As the middle age misinterprets the warmth of the beloved. Finally arrived at the destination But miles to go in the journey of life to attain salvation.
