The world as the creative writing of God
Is in process like a sentence, a paragraph,
A page, a chapter of a book: at any instant
The substantiality of what is perceived
Is carried forward in that to occur;
That enacted, in the concept of the past.
Like any piece of creative writing, events
Are as they evolve, manifesting good and evil,
Whose outcome cannot be attributed
To the author’s will, but rather in the nature
Of the exposition, which in God’s authorship
Is a revelation simply of that which is: the plot.
In the creative writing of God, what occurs
Is faithful in all its stages to the plot, the passion
And the conflict, over eons of time, to this
End, the triumph of life, of love, as fulfilling
That which is, to the revelation of who He is,
Creative writing transforms into the divine.
