Floating on the tides of time
Moments come,
A wish within gently begs
To look back in pain and pleasure,
Nostalgia, sweet and sour,
Spreads her grip.
River dales, soft breeze sweeping
Through the clusters of endless lilies,
Hours of romancing in the crowd,
An unruly string of hair
Whispering close to her glowing chin
Evokes an absurd desire to part them
One after one,
Over nights following nights.
In spells of a different time
All drown in dreary depths
Pace of living keeps mounting in further pace,
Steps become quicker in rush for the unknown
Like a fallen star whizzing past a distant planet.
Wonder! Nothing but wonder.
A gentle push of her hand from my left
Jerks me hard out of my walk in sleep.
“What makes you go thither?”- she asks,
“Let’s cross and see’, I say,
“How the river looks beyond”.
