The Beach

I had many questions to ask,
As I walked down that sandy beach...
It was lonely, yet full of people...
Wondered, whom to impeach

It had no fair ladies,
tanning under the sun...
Infact, it had the gloomiest of nights,
and the judgment had just begun....

I looked left and right,
There were faces of friends and foes,
And worse became the nights,
As I thought of my woes....

All left footprints on the sand,
As they walked by.
Some had left painful memories,
And didn't give love a try...

They thought the beach to be
just another place,
They found humanity pointless,
and were caught up in its maze...

The beach was no ordinary one,
And its sand not so dry,
That no impressions would be left,
And no memories would make one cry...

It was the beach of my heart,
And the sand of my soul...
And if understanding had been a work of art,
Then exploiting, the devils role....
