Sitting By The Window

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 10 years old,
My friends call me, come on Raju lets play,
I get ready but find my mother standing in my way,
So Raju you will not do homework and waste another day.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 20 years old,
I see a beautiful girl standing downstairs staring at me,
Soon I realize that she is my class mate
And I had to go out with her on a date.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 30 years old,
Someone keeps her hand on my shoulder,
I turn back and see, it's my wife,
And I can feel that she is the most important person in my life.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 40 years old,
My daughter asks me Papa tell me one thing ,
What happens to the good and the bad men and women,
I tell her , that the bad go to hell and the good to heaven.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 50 years old,
My son enters the room and tells me, Daddy I have decided to marry,
Sunny It's good that you have been so wise,
But always remember that marriage means a lot of compromise.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 60 years old,
My wife is also sitting along with me,
We both recall our memories over the last 35 yrs,
And I can find myself and my wife getting into tears.

Sitting by the side of the window,
now that I am 70 years old,
There is a tray full of medicines kept beside me,
Looking into the deep, clear, blue sky,
I think I am just waiting to die.
